If you can't take pictures early in the morning, you can start taking pictures from 2pm or 3pm, no later than 4pm. If you shoot early, you can catch the sun in time. If you take photos in the late afternoon, you can take photos at the time when the old town becomes magical with lanterns.

Along the banks of Hoai River in the center of Hoi An ancient town, there are many places for you to take pictures. You should avoid areas with many people, choose a location close to the river, where you can see the old town, areas with many lanterns. The light of the lanterns and the reflection in the water are really beautiful, hard to find in modern life. The photographer will prepare a candle-lit lantern for you to use as a photography accessory. If you try to take pictures at dusk, you may get exceptional shots.

Ao Dai is really suitable when taking photos in Hoi An. You can buy or rent ao dai. Conical hats, lanterns and flowers are accessories that you can choose to take photos.

After taking pictures on the banks of Hoai River, you can continue to take pictures along Bach Dang or Nguyen Thai Hoc streets or take pictures at shops with lantern decoration at Nguyen Hoang night market. At Nguyen Hoang night market, the shop owners charge a photo fee of 10,000 VND/person.

If you want, you can rent a boat to enjoy the scenery and take pictures on Hoai River. There will be people assigned to row the boat for you.

Tickets will be issued at the location of 5 specified swimming groups, along the riverbank. Boat carrying from 1-3 passengers/trip: 150.000 VND, printed in yellow. Boats carrying from 4-5 passengers/trip: 200.000 VND, printed in red. The duration of a tour is 20 minutes (unless the guest requests to shorten the time, but it must not be less than 15 minutes).

At the end of the photo session around 6pm or 7pm, you can search for local specialties to have dinner such as: Cao Lau, Mi Quang, Banh Mi, Hen Xao... You should see the reviews of other customers when into a restaurant or random selection (if you want). Should look at the menu carefully, order each dish separately to enjoy. Don't eat too full to eat another dish if you want.
